Project Description
Simple GUI application that sends data down a serial port. Primarily used for testing serial RS-232 hardware.

This remarkably boring application will simply send byte based data down a serial communication port. It gives you a number of basic options that you can set to configure your serial port and also allows you to specify data to be sent. You have 3 options for sending data -
  • A hex byte sequence (use a space to separate the data)
  • A single 8-bit binary pattern (just select each bit)
  • A random stream of values

For each data option, you can specify how many bytes you want to send and also a delay between each byte. If you select the hex byte sequence option, the program will simply loop through the data until the maximum number of bytes have been sent.

That's it!
